Five workers paint four houses in six days

So those five workers will paint two houses (half as many) in three days (half the time)

Within that time scale (three days) we need to paint 12 houses (ie six times as many) so
we need six times as many workers
So the number of workers required is 5 X 6 = 30.
Thirty workers are required.
