Dear Scholarship or Admissions Committee,

It is with pleasure that I write this letter of reference for Thomas Crawford,

whom I have had the pleasure of teaching this past year. Thomas is one of the most

outstanding and unique students I have taught over my long career at the

secondary and collegiate level. I have witnessed his progressive academic and

social growth over this past year, and am so proud of his achievements.

Thomas Crawfords strengths are demonstrated in his hard working,

persevering attitude towards everything he does. Additionally, Mr. Crawford is

disciplined enough to take on new challenges with enthusiasm, integrity, and

wonderful personality, as evidenced by his extensive school and community

involvement. He has also shown that regardless of ones adversity, ones mindset

and hard work can overcome anything. These strong qualities can be used to his

advantage as he meets his educational and career goals.

Diligence and commitment entail the ability to work hard, to be reliable, and

to be responsible. As a student who handles not only his academic duties, but

additional duties beyond what most high schools students take on, Mr. Crawford

has developed these skills, and I am confident that these leadership characteristics

will transfer into any future endeavor he aspires to achieve. If admitted, you will

not regret your choice.

Sincerely,
