associate attorney general for the Office of
Legal Policy, where she will oversee the
administrations appointment of federal
judges. A yes vote was to confirm Brand for
the Department of Justice post.
Jeffrey Rosen Confirmation: Voting 56-42,
Y N the Senate confirmed Jeffrey A. Rosen as
deputy secretary of the Department of
Transportation. A yes vote was to confirm
Rosen over Democratic arguments that he
would be a weak regulator of auto-safety and
fuel-economy standards.
