INTRODUCTION

Motherboard is also known as basic board. It is a central part of computers

hardware. On motherboard you can connect all hardware parst such as hard disk
or graphic cards. Motherboard enables communication between all hardware
components in computer. Quality of motherboard is directly realted to the
performance of the computer and its other components.

Asus X99 Deluxe

Asus released its motherboard in August 2014. It is more advanced version of

their X99 motherboard. It is using LGA 2011-v3 processor socket, 2.0 turbo
boost, while the chipshet is from the X99. Maximum capacity of RAM memory is
64GB DDR4. This motherboard also has 8 SATA 6Gb/s connectors, Realtek
ALC1150 integrated audio controler and 6 USB 3.0 and 2.0 slots.

Specifications

One of the main features of Asus X99 Deluxe motherboard is huge capacity of
Random Accsess memory (RAM) and its speed and dual channeling. This
motherboard also offers 5 diferent types of optimisation from extreme workload
to high power saving. Other characteristics of this motherboard are:

LGA 2011 motherboard socket

LGA 2011 is successor of the older one LGA 1366 socket. This socket has 2011
contact pins with the processor. It has been used since 14th November 2011 and
it has support for DDR4 dual chanelling. LGA 2011-v3 is also known as LGA 2011-
3 and it is newer generation of the LGA 2011 motherboard socked, it has been in
sale since August 2014 and it uses Haswell E and Haswell EP processors. This
socket version is visualy look alike the old versions of the LGA sockets but it uses
difrerent energy impulses which disables its usage for diferent versions of
processors. On pictures below are show LGA 2011 and LGA 2011-3 sockets for
processors.

Asus 5X protection
Asus 5x protection offers best quality reliability and dutability of all components
on the motherboard. This protection is made of:

1. Precise power control and long lasting stability

Precise power control and long lasting stability is achieved by module for
power regulation. They are esential motherboard components because
they supply exacly enough power to processor as much as it needs. This
advanced tochology reduces power compsumption and increases stability
of all components in system.
2. Short circuit damage prevention
Short circut damage prevetion is build on every place where it is posible to
create short circut. This type of protection is installed on all types of ports
and connectors on motherboard.
3. Strong ESD protection for extended component lifespan
The secret for the protection from electro-static discarges is in design of

grounded.

Asus Wi-Fi Go
Asus Wi-Fi go enables you to connect all your smart devices in your
house. This type of connection is aveable due to Wi-Fi antenna built in the
motherboard.

Asus Q Design
Asus Q Design is build in all newer motherboards. Q design presents
system of easy installing or unistalling of all omponents on motherboard
such as RAM memory etc.

Conclusion

Asus X99 Deluxe has been released for sale in August 2014. Asus X99
Deluxe is more powerfull version of the X99 and X99 Extreme
motherboards. It has RAM memory capacity of 64GB. Also it has 8 SATA
6Gb/s slots, Realtek integrated audio controler and 6 USB 2.0 and 3.0
ports. This motherboard is the best motherboard aveable at the moment
on the market for the desktop PCs. Price of this motherboard is beetween
300$ and 450$. This motherboard is not aveable on our maket but if we
consider the speed which technology developes we can expect it very
soon.
