The Inca Jungle Trail tour combines adventures biking and trekking to Machu Picchu in
4d/3n, This thrilling downhill Mountain bike ride and jungle trek through marvelous
remote inka trail passing through native plantations like: Bananas, Coca and Coffee also
we will enjoy a medicinal hot springs in Cocalmayu.
This is a great alternative for people who could not reserve to the famous Inca trail and
for people wanting something a little different to have more contact with local people
living on the other side of the Mountain ranges of Cusco region. This option is full of
adrenaline, great views and nice walks!!!
breakfast at 7 a.m. 8 a.m. We leave to the northwest of Cusco, going through the Sacred
Valley of the Incas, 4 hours by bus, going to the Málaga Pass (4350 meters altitude/
14,260 feet) near to Veronica glacial peak (5682 m./ 18,637 feet); descent in bicycle
through the high jungle 3 or 4 hours down to Santa María (1700 m./ 5570 feet), meals
and family house lodging.
We will get a healthy breakfast to start walking over a flat area by the Urubamba
riverside for about 1 hour. Then we continue to go up the route 3 more hours taking the
ancient Inka jungle Trail, a rustic and rough road full of rocks and stones (with some
steps on it), we can observe wild animals of the region like birds, fruits & medicine
plants like, then arriving to the Qellumayu village where we will rest and have lunch,
After that we will go on with our trek walking by the river two more hours to the hot
springs…We will relax for about 1 hour, here we waiting our transport and 10 more
minutes to arrive to SANTA TERESA town, approx. at 6:00pm and spend another
night.
3th Day INCA JUNGLE
SANTA TERESA – AGUAS CALIENTES (TREKKING)
This morning after breakfast we will continue our trip to the Hydroelectric (power
plant), this part of the trek is called the waterfall day where well pass many cascades
and specially one falling from 45 m above being the smallest. Once we reach the Power
Plant and have some rest and get lunch, we will continue our trip two more hours as we
reach to our final destination today to “Aguas Calientes” town us arriving here at
5.30:00pm
