SHAKESPEARS OTHELLO
Mr. Granieris English class concluded their study of
Shakespeare's Othello with a re-enactment of the last act
on the PHS stage. Students honed their comprehension
skills and decoding abilities with a thorough class study
of vocabulary and syntax of Shakespeare's writing. Mr.
Granieris direction increased students understanding of
the stage and helped usher the class into their debrief of
the plot, characters, and underlying themes. More im-
portantly they gained a deeper appreciation of Othello as
a performance piece.
