otheaircrewandhencearenotdiscussedinthisbook.This
textdoesaddressthespecifictypesofradarsystemsmost
likelytobeassociatedwithamodernintegratedairdefense
system(lADS).TointroducethereadertoEW,ElectronicWar
fareFundamentalsbeginswithabriefhistoryofradar,anov
erviewofradarcapabilities,andabriefintroductiontothet
hreatsystemsassociatedwithatypicallADS.Thetwosubseq
uentchaptersintroducethetheoryandcharacteristicsofradi
ofrequency(RF)energyasitrelatestoradaroperations.Th
esearefollowedbyradarsignalcharacteristics,radarsystem
components,andradartargetdiscriminationcapabilities.The
bookcontinueswithadiscussionofantennatypesandscan
