A. _The documented or undocumented Mexicans are not going to work. The Mexicans
have decided not to go to work so the government would see how it would be if they were to
kick them out. The movement started on social media by organized groups to make a change.
B. The teachers have reported lots of children not attending school because of what is
happening. A teacher reported that out of her 26 students only 7 showed up to school on
Thursday.
C. The Latinos are not only not going to work or school on Thursdays they go protest and
are taking a stand to make a difference. students from nearby Science Park High School
charged in with signs, banners and chants. We are loud, we are clear, immigrants are welcome
here, they said, drawing honks from cheering passing motorists

I like how the Mexicans are standing up for themselves to make a change. I like the way that
they are peacefully protesting and not violently because fighting is never the answer. I would
like to see a change because I am a Mexican to and I am tired of living in fear of being
deported.

Relate your Event to a Historical Event (compare and contrast with current event).
Martin Luther king fighting for the rights of the black people relates to this topic because the
blacks didn't have any right just like some of these Mexicans. The people and martin Luther king
protested peacefully just like the Latinos are doing.

There are Latinos that own big restaurants and coffee places which are really popular. The
government would be losing lots of money if those businesses closed every Thursday. The
money that the government is making will decrease because businesses that bring in a lot of
income are closed every thursday.
