The overall structure is delineated by the sections below, in the following order:

Key clicks (45 seconds)

Sustained notes (45 seconds)
Sustained notes with multiphonics (1 min)
Flourishes with staccato notes (1.5 min)
Melodic passage (2 min)
Flourishes with staccato notes (1.5 min)
Sustained notes with multiphonics (1 min)
Sustained notes (45 seconds)
Key clicks (45 seconds)

The timings indicated are given to help with a sense of overall form and proportion,
and need not be followed exactly. Within the sections themselves, it is important that
the player listens to how they are interacting with the electronics, and they should feel
free to react to the electronics whenever they feel the inclination to do so.

Key clicks: See the pattern below.

7 13 5 17 3 21 3 17 5 13 7 11 9 9 11 7 13 5 17 3 21 3 17 5 13 7 11 9 9 11 7 13

Bold, underlined numbers indicate to key click for that many beats, and the other
numbers indicate silence. The tempo is at the players discretion.

Sustained notes:
Pick a note and play it for as long as your breath will allow, or for 10 seconds. Allow
the sound to clear, then pick another note and repeat the process. Continue this
process for the duration of the passage.

Sustained notes with multiphonics:

Same instruction than for sustained notes, except every other note is a multiphonic,
and every other note is a single sustained note.
Flourishes with staccato notes:
Rapid upward moving or downward moving gestures that culminate in staccato notes.
Below are a few examples to start with, although the player is free to deviate from
them.
Melodic passages:
Play the following melodic sequence, moving up by step as indicated in the notation
below, for the duration of the passage. Feel free to add additional flourishes or
multiphonics.
