5 Ways to Look at Summer

Water splashing,
Kids jumping,
Its finally Summer.

A breeze blows through my hair;
My arms start to ache
As the current picks up speed.
Oh, how I love the river
When crowds of people
Block my way.
The joys of kayaking on
July 3rd.

Sand somehow seems to get
Everywhere.
Legs starts to ache from all the
Climbing,
But once you get to the top,
The view is breathtaking.

You cant help but turn your gaze upwards.
A tourist may do this,
But for someone whos been well over ten times,
It can be seen as unusual.
I dont care.
I love to gawk at the stunning structure of the buildings;
In the place where my heart belongs.
Chicago.

Night.
Its so long this time of year.
Catching fireflies,
Swimming with friends,
And roasting marshmallows--
These are all things I love to do when
The sun goes to sleep.
