Reading Rotations CONTRACT

Reading Rotations Expectations:

While Ms. Broaddus is working with a group, you are not to interrupt her unless it is
an emergency.
Examples of emergencies:
-
-
-
If you have a problem that is NOT an emergency, use your problem solving skills
to figure it out (i.e. ask a classmate, look it up, check your learning menu, if your
question can be answered later-write it down to ask later).
**It is not fair to your classmates if their group work time with Ms. B has to be cut
short because you took her time away**

GROUP WORK WITH MS. B= Always bring your Language Arts notebook, a pencil,
any books you are reading, and your agenda. You will be expected to participate in
any discussions or group work.
INDEPENDENT WORK=
>>If you are NOT working in a group with Ms. B, you are to work on the items listed
in your learning menu.
>>It is your responsibility to complete the necessary items in your learning
menu by Friday each week.
>>If you complete your learning menu before Friday, independent reading should
be your first option of what to do next.
**do not ask Ms. B what to do next (the answer will always be READ)**
>>If you have a question that a classmate can answer, please whisper so as not to
distract anyone else.
>>If you need to move around the room to get any materials, please do not distract
your working classmates.

If you fail to follow any of the above expectations, Ms. B has the right to FINE you as
she sees fit.

I, ________________________, have read and understand the above expectations for

Reading Rotations. I also understand that failing to follow these expectations will
result in a fine.
