Small group discussion: could they be real?
Sts very invested in the topic.

Preview in small groups. T explains
metacognition. Very good explanation.

Choices were given -- so reads first, order, etc.


Using silence as a signal to T that work was
finished -- good. Reading in sections,
discussion after each.
Suggestion: Don't talk over Sts. Wait until
everyone is listening -- not just most.
T ReadAloud, re-read
VTOL -- identifying synonyms - excellent
practice.
Suggestion: Watch the speed of your speech.
Independent work -- writing it gets very fast at times.
Good review, partial wrap-up before the writing
project. Good final wrap-up after some
sharing of writing.
