Digital Pedagogies Lesson Plan

Lesson Intention
In this lesson, students are learning to:
Students will use digital technologies to learn and demonstrate how to
perform a skill in athletics

Success Criteria
Students who are achieving the learning intention will be able to:
Provide evidence of participation and development of skill by filming
themselves.

Entry Assessment
This lesson is based on the students having the following prior knowledge

The students have completed basic athletics training

Cones
Quoits
Cricket wickets
Hula hoops

Lesson Flow

This lesson focuses on developing athletics skills through guided discovery and technology.
There will be three stations, each with a different athletics event.
1. Long Jump
2. Discus
3. Sprinting
At each station there will be multiple Ipads each of them will be open on a webpage which
states the technique points and has pictures of the necessary technique for the event.
The students are free to roam around each station and complete the activities in their own
time. All four teachers will be roaming across all activities with their own digital device and
will facilitate guided discovery amongst the students.

Long Jump

There are three aspects of long jump:


Sprinting
