Council Report - Andrew Long, Moderator

Action Item: Acting on a request from the Commission on Ministry and Preparation,
Council asks that presbytery form a Task Force to revise the Standing Rules and
present for adoption by the presbytery at its October meeting. Joshua Kerr and
Leah Hrachovec have volunteered to serve with the assistance of Gordon Edwards
and Deborah Meinke, and 2 ruling elders are sought.
Information: The presbytery voted in February to disband the Resource Center. We
would like to accomplish this objective by the end of the summer. Please encourage
your congregations to stop by FPC, Stillwater, and take any materials of interest.
Council has been notified that the presbytery Treasurer Laura McVay wishes to step
down at the end of 2017 and presbytery Communicator Everett Miller will not
continue past this June meeting, items of business for the Council and Nominating
Committee.

Voting on changes to the PCUSA Constitution We request Rev. Leah


Hrachovec, General Assembly commissioner, to be available for any questions
regarding the amendments from the 2016 222nd General Assembly. Council has
determined that an oral up-or-down vote be taken on all amendments and the
results reported to the General Assembly before the June 21 st deadline.

Commission on Ministry and Preparation
Welcome to Rev. Rick Mills, HR as a Member of Cimarron Presbytery
Action Item: Gift of $2000 from the presbytery to Jim Reeves, Supply Pastor, FPC,
Beaver, OK to aid in the recovery of his family from the loss of their home to fire and
to assist Jim with medical expenses. Funds will come from the Commission on
Ministry and Preparation budget.
Examination of Sarah Chivington-Buck for ordination to the Ministry of Word and
Sacrament and membership in Cimarron Presbytery. Concur in the pastoral call to

First Presbyterian Church, Alva, OK and make plans for her installation as pastor to
FPC, Alva.
