It is without reservation that highly recommending Rocco Varuolo . He is a leader far

ahead of his time, who tirelessly seeks to improve student learning outcomes for our
school district. Innovatively, he has adapted to a changing environment by continually
pushing his limits and seeking growth. Through his own practice and leading of staff,
Rocco has consistently incorporated the use of interdisciplinary technology to foster
college and career readiness. Work is no longer confined to school, but is posted on the
district app. He actives promotes e-portfolios so student work can reach a more global
audience as it gives learning a more authentic purpose. Under Roccos direction, teachers
are empowered to teach the building of raspberry pi, arduinos and other STEM concepts.

Most importantly, Rocco is collaborative and continually shares so that scholars will
ultimately benefit from his vision. On two separate occasions I approached Rocco for
ideas on pushing the envelope in the school library. He discussed his vision of student
project based learning through solving community problems. Rocco taught me when
learning is meaningful and relevant, children internalize it and become better citizens.
Both of his ideas of creating 3D limbs for pets without limbs and for students designing
and programming a jacket with changing LED safety messages were recognized
nationwide.

There is no better candidate than Rocco as you will discover when you meet with him.
