Consdired as the continuation of arakanyoma mountain ranges of Myanmar.

Capital port blair is located in south Andaman
Middle Andaman is the largest ocenanic island of india

LAKSHADWEEP GROUP

It is coral island located in Arabian sea

Capital is kavaratti
Lakshadweep means one lakh island but have only 25 small island.
In Lakshadweep most of the island is horse shoe shaped and made up of
attols(coral deposits)
The island north of 11 degree are known as amindivi island whose south of
this latitude are called cannonore island
Andrott is largest island in Lakshadweep .
Minicoy is the second largest island or southern most island of this group.
Minicoy is separated from rest of Lakshadweep by nine degree channel.
Lakshadweep group seperared from Maldives by eight degree channel.
