RE: Executive Order creating committee on decorum and

investigation of sexual harassment cases

Dear Atty. Vega:

This pertains to the above-captioned subject matter, please find below our
comment.

The executive Order appears to be in accordance with Republic Act 7877

otherwise known as the Anti-Sexual Harassment Act of 1995 as well as Civil Service
Resolution pertaining to the rules and regulations on Sexual Harassment case
subject only to our recommendation indicated in the Whereas clause as well as the
Functions of CODI.

The Executive Orders is in line with Section 4 (a) of Republic Act 7877 which
mandates every employer or head of agency in the public and private sectors to
promulgate rules and regulations prescribing the procedure for the investigation of
sexual harassment case and the administrative sanctions therefore. Attached
herewith is a copy of the Executive Order for your perusal.
