CJZ2: Execute Capitalized Interest, Individual

Purpose

Use this procedure just prior to pushing WIP Balanace (AUCs) to Final Depreciating Assets (Proprietary
Funds only).

Trigger

Perform this procedure when you need to capture project capitalized interest prior to final settlements
(AUCs).

Prerequisites

Overhead is complete
Costs are posted

Menu Path

Use the following menu path to begin this transaction:

Select Accounting > Project Systems > Period-End Closing > Single Functions >
Interest Calculations > CJZ2 - Individual Processing

Helpful Hints

R/O/C column in tables represents Required, Optional, or Conditional entry.

Errors are identified with a red dot symbol. Errors can occur if documents are blocked.
To correct errors, open the individual project and unblock the WBS element.
Developing base accumulated costs for a month, then applying an interest rate for borrowing
(Treasury/Bonds). This interest represents borrowing costs from bond sales.

Procedure
1. Start the transaction using the menu path or transaction code.

2. As required, complete/review the following fields:

Project Definition R
Framework of data that is binding to the entire project.

3. Uncheck With orders check box .

4. As required, complete/review the following fields:

Verify that each displays interest without errors.

10. Click Interim balances for interest-relevant postings .
