The Principal Accountant General of Chennai, with state government approval, has authorized treasury officers to pay revised differential Death-Cum-Retirement Gratuity (DCRG) to Tamil Nadu government servants who retired on or after July 1, 2011. This revision is due to an increase in dearness allowance rates from 51% to 58% under a government order dated October 3, 2011. Officials who retired between July 1 and September 30, 2011 and have already received pension authorization may directly contact pension disbursing authorities for payment of the revised DCRG. Drawing and disbursing officers do not need to submit bills to the treasury.

REVISED DCRG TO TAMILNADU GOVERNMENT SERVANTS WHO RETIRED ON

The Office of the Principal Accountant General(A&E),
Chennai, with the concurrence of the State Government, have issued authorisations to the Treasury Officers for payment of differential DCRG to Tamilnadu Government Servants who retired on or after 01/07/2011. This revised order is due to revision of DA rates from 51% to 58% as per Govt. of Tamil Nadu Finance (Allowances) Department GO.No.273 dated 3/10/11. The officials who retired between 01/07/2011 and 30/09/2011 and whose pensionary benefits have been authorized before issue of GO, may directly, approach the Pension Disbursing Authorities for receiving payment of revised DCRG. Drawing and Disbursing Officers need not present bills at the Treasury.
