    Education/training: For many pipefitter jobs you must apply at their apprenticeships program.

    Degrees or licenses : Youll need a DAS linense card. Its simple to get. You simply have to
    apply for it. Its a card you get for any apprenticeship. Its $35 a year. (Illinois Career Information
    System (CIS) ) The program last as long anywhere from 3-4

    Getting into the program: To enter the program you simply apply for the job youre willing to work
    for and learn about. You only need to be 18 and older, GED or high school diploma or equal.

    Paying for the program: The apprenticeship program and training are completely free. You can
    decide the job is not right for you and quit and have zero schooling debt. In fact, people who
    participate in an apprenticeship program are paid for the work that they do. They usually start at
    $17 an hour, and by the time they complete the program, they make $27 and receive health and
