Hello Brothers and Sisters, My name is Byron Murdaugh, and I'm requesting your support and vote for President. I've been an active Union member for 29 years. I’ve held offices as a Trustee, Assistant Clerk Craft Director and presently Clerk Craft Director. | bring a strong work ethic, dedication, passion and a no-nonsense attitude for “Doing The Right Thing”. The goal is to give the Union back to the people. We the membership, are to be treated with dignity and respect. Building A Strong, Respected Union. Agenda: Task Force: The task force will be made up of representatives, who specialize in handling grievances, EEO cases, safety issues and federal law. The Philadelphia Local has. a negotiated contract and if our contract is violated, action will be taken immediately. Grievance and Settlements: No longer will grievances and settlements be handled by one office. Individual grievances will be given to the employee at step 1. The employee will be able to track their grievance until it has been adjudicated. Class Action grievances and settlements will be posted in the affected areas. (Transparency) Information: We all have the right to know what is going on in our Union. All three crafts will be given updates on a daily basis. These updates will keep everyone informed of how the USPS is changing. Staffing: All 3 crafts have managed to get the job done, even though we are understaffed. We will fight hard to bring job to the Philadelphia Installation. Being understaffed is taking its toll on the employees and this issue will be addressed immediately. Passing The Torch: The time is now to start training and developing our newer/younger employees to possibly taking over positions at the Union. As President, | will take an active role in this process. As we all move forward, we have this opportunity to play a major role in this election.
