DATA ANALYSIS
Big question: Has Alice Springs climate changed over the last 100 years?
For this section, each student will be required to calculate the mean, range and
median temperatures for each month of a particular year. This section is broken
into two halves minimum and maximum temperatures.
TEMPERATURES
For each month, work out the mean, median and range using a calculator.
Mean = The average of a data set. All data values are added and the total is
divided by the number of data values.

Range = highest value lowest value

Median = the middle number (make sure the numbers are in order from lowest to
highest)
