Abstract
When two mechanic bearings of the axial flux
permanent magnet (AFPM) synchronous motor are
replaced by magnetic bearings, the motor can operate
at much higher speed above base speed. One of the
way to speed up the motor to the speed above its rated
speed is flux weakening of the rotor flux (p). This
paper proposes a solution to increase the motor speed
