Re: Monkey Heath

Hello Dan and Staff,

I hope you are all enjoying this fall weather. Many of you are well aware of the situation and are
very concerned. Some of our monkeys have fallen ill and are showing concerning symptoms. A
handful of monkeys have also died and cultures have been collected and are currently being
tested. The situation has not yet been determined, but your safety is my number one priority. I
urge that your number one priority is the health of our monkeys and that this unknown virus
doesn't spread to others. This means observing the monkeys very closely and reporting any odd
behavior or symptoms to Dalgard ASAP. Please make sure you keep supplies clean and be
aware of cross contamination between monkey cages during feeding times. I have contacted
the CDC and USAMRIID to help assist us in this ongoing investigation. I am handling the
situation to the best of my ability.

If you have any more questions or concerns, I urge you to come to my office during business
hours. Thank you for your cooperation in this time of panic.
