    Simpkins Donates Snowmobile/Trail Groomer to the School

    Former Sauk Centre Newspaper editor, Dave Simpkins, has made a significant
    donation to Sauk Centre Public Schools and Community Education Department. Part
    of the property that makes up the ISD #743 is a nature area that covers
    approximately 80 acres. In the past, the Snow Cleats organization has provided
    grooming for the paths that have catered to cross country skiers as well as snow
    shoeing. Through the efforts of Assistant Community Education Director, Don
    Peschel, Superintendent Pat Westby, and community member Dana Boschee the
    school has a machine of its own to groom trials for Community Education Classes,
    general Phy-ed classes, and use for the public so all can enjoy the nature area.
    These three gentleman are pictured in the photo graph along with Dave Simpson,
    donator of the groomer.
