The Harry and Lily Priest Story
On Thursday, June 8, 7pm at the Sen-
ior Citizens Hall, the NV Museum &
Archives presents Jolene Castillou Cum-
ming with stories about Harry Priests
photographs, including behind the scene
stories. Youll also, hear Lily Priests voice
in a rare CBC interview, where she shares
accounts of early life in the Nicola Valley.
Harry & Lily came from England to BC
in 1908, looking to buy a fruit ranch in the
Okanagan. They made it as far as Spences
Bridge and got Quilchena confused with
Okanagan the rest is history!
At the time, Merritt desperately needed
a teacher, and with the generous hospital-
