Springfest - A Mist Is A Collection of Points
Springfest - A Mist Is A Collection of Points
5 to 2 page (Times, 12, double spaced) paper describing your experience. You should
comment on the sights and sounds of the performance in as much detail as possible! This extra credit assignment is worth an additional 2% on your final
grade! The following prompts can be used as a guide for your paper. You need not answer them all. I want to hear about your experience as an
audience member. What did you learn? What did you find compelling? I am interested in your personal concert experience, not your opinion on the
quality of the music, so please do not write a musical critique!! You must submit your extra credit assignment as a hard copy AND include the
ticket stub or program from the concert. Please submit to your TA or your TAs mailbox.
How would you describe the the auditorium? How does venue affect your experience as a listener?
Briefly describe each composition. How do they relate, how do they differ?
Did the same group of musicians perform every piece or did the instrumentation change?
What did you find interesting about the music? Why was it interesting?
Were program notes available during the concert?
Due to strict restrictions on noise, you should NOT take notes of any kind during the performance. Due to the Concert Halls unique acoustics, even the
slightest noises made can be heard by everyone in attendance! Turn your cell phones off and keep your pencils and paper put away!
