To Whom It May Concern:

I would like to express my support of Nanci Sandoval as a teacher. I am a first & second grade teacher at
Quatama Elementary and have worked with Nanci Sandoval for the last 5 years.

I have worked closely with Nanci in the classroom. She guides students to complete their tasks and she
is able to explain directions well. She is successfully able to plan and carry out lessons that were
relevant and child centered. Nanci takes the initiative to look around and see what needed to be done
and accomplished tasks without being asked.

Nanci demonstrates positive interactions with students, parents and staff. Nanci works well with young
children. She talks kindly with the children and takes into account student needs and classroom norms.
When there is behavior in the classroom that requires intervention, Nanci is able to respond in a positive
and consistent manner. She has a helping and caring type approach that is non-confrontational. She
uses re-direction and responds effectively to the issues that arise.

Often in an elementary classroom, situations change rapidly and Nanci takes all of the challenges in
stride and goes on with the task at hand. She has shown herself to be very flexible and willing to tackle
anything.

I enjoy working with Nanci and highly value her dedication to children, intelligence and positive attitude.
She possesses the skills to deal with students and other teachers positively.
