    Year 7 Science

    MAKE IT RAIN SCIENCE EXPERIMENT


    Tell your teacher that you are up to activity 3. Make a group of 3 and go to the
    science area of the classroom. Complete the following steps:

    MATERIALS:
    glass jar
    plate
    hot water
    ice cubes from freezer

    PROCESS:
    1. Get your teacher to pour about 5ml of very hot water into the glass jar.

    2. Cover the jar with the plate and wait a few minutes before you start the next
    step.

    *REMEMBER* THE JAR IS VERY HOT SO DO NOT TOUCH!

    3. Put the ice cubes on the plate and observe.

    4. Questions to answer in sentence structure. Write out in your science book.


    Remember to date and title your work.

    - What can you see happening?

    - Why do you think this is happening?

    5. Pack up neatly. Be very careful of the hot water!

    We will discuss the reason this happened in your next lesson.

    6. Complete the last activity on the website.
