Dear Parent(s)/Guardian:

As we approach the last month of school, we would like for our students to start eating their
lunches outside as much as possible. This helps them to enjoy the fresh air and enjoy a longer break
outside of the building.

Please review the following expectations with your child to ensure outdoor lunches are a success. We
will also review these at the school level before starting. The following expectations will guide our
outdoor lunches:

1. Your child will need to check in with his/her supervisor for accurate attendance reporting
2. Your child will eat his/her lunch prior to playing and bring home any uneaten food.
3. Remind your child to put garbage and recycling in the proper bins provided
4. Students will remain on school property for the duration of lunchtime and are not permitted to
leave to go to the store during school hours.

In addition, we encourage you to send bug spray and sunscreen in your child's backpack so it is
accessible to them if needed throughout the school day. Please note bug spray and sunscreen will travel
to and from school with your child each day and will not be stored at the school. Please ensure your
child's name is on these items.
