Character Presentation Instructions

Assignment Summary We are reading the novel A Midsummer Nights


Dream, and we have been introduced to many
important characters. This assignment is to create a
poster with the important information about your
character or group that has been assigned.

Writers Purpose(s) To introduce us to the important information about


your character.

Writers Role You are creating the poster as play reviewer.

Audience Peers and teacher.

Form Poster which is to be created on a computer-size


piece of paper.
You may choose from: Puck, Oberon, Demetrius,
Theseus, Helena, Hippolyta, Egeus, Lysander, Nick
Bottom, Hermia, or Tatiana

Kind of character (dynamic vs static and flat vs
round)
2 Quotes about the character and/or group
Explanation of the quotes (1 quote beginning & 1
from end)
Symbols at least 4
Information about the characters family, work,
love interest(s)
How the character has changed from the beginning
of the story to the end.
Procedure 1. Brainstorm information about your character
including information covering all that is listed in
the FCA area.
2. You may use your character chart and your book.
3. Your finished product is to be on white computer
paper.
4. Make sure to organize how and where you place
your information on the poster.
Standards:
SL1 a Acknowledge new information expressed by other, and when warranted, qualify or
justify their own views and understanding in light of the evidence.
SL2 Analyze the purpose of information presented in diverse media and formats.
SL 4 Present claims and findings, emphasizing salient points in a focused, coherent manner
with relevant evidence, sound valid reasoning, and well-chosen details; use appropriate eye
contact, adequate volume, and clear pronunciation.
SL 6 Adapt speech to a variety of contexts and tasks., demonstrating command of formal
English when indicated or appropriate.

RL 1 Cite textual evidence that most strongly supports an analysis of what the text says
explicitly as well as inferences drawn from the text.
