    INFORMATION ABOUT THE TASK
    This task is about finding and using the charachteristics of the different 3-dimensional
    shapes . Your task is to find themin different places as in the classroom, outside or on
    other buildings.
    Take pictures and tell the rest of the class about the shapes through a slideshow. The
    slideshow is going to be a Pechakucha style, which means each slide will show for 20
    seconds.

    WHAT YOU NEED TO INCLUDE IN YOUR PRESENTATION


    The name of the shape
    A picture of the shape
    The pictures you have been taking and dont forget to explain why you think the object
    looks like the shape you have chosen and why you think the object has that kind of
    shape.
    What is the biggest and the smallest object that you found that has this shape?
    What is this shape useful for?
    And last but not least, tell us what you think of the shape, and what you think is the
    best object to create by using that shape.

    Details of the tasks

    While students watch the presentation

    The cylinder has two flat sides and one curved face.

    The pyramid has a rectangular shaped base and four triangular shaped
    bases and consists five vertices.

    The cuboid has six flat sides and four vertices and twelve edges.

    Instructions of the last phase in activity 1.


    Now, use these three geometrical shapes to draw a buliding or and object. The
    difficult part is that you only have a certain amount to work with. You only get 5,
    10 or 20 of each shape. For example, 20 cuboids. 10 pyramids and 5 cylinders.
    Choose wisely! Good luck!

    After the drawing we will make these drawings come to life and make them by
    hand. Later this will be something we will show to your family and friends by an
    exposition!
