Directions:
Pair students
Have one partner face the board and the other faces his partner (with back to the board)
Display 5 vocabulary terms on the board and set a timer (usually 1 to 1 minutes).
The partner viewing the words must give clues so partner can guess all the words in the allotted time.
After each round, when time is called, both partners write down the words and all the clues that were given.
This step is critical. These are basically student-generated definitions, descriptions, and examples.
Students must capture their thinking for much stronger retention and understanding.
Write down the number of terms guessed correctly during time.
Partners switch and repeat with new list of words.
