You have been given the task of choosing a new electronic health record (EHR)
system for a small, urban geriatric outpatient clinic with 2 physicians, 1 nurse
practitioner, 5 nurses, and 2 medical assistants. The patients at this clinic are
elderly, 80% of them are Medicare recipients, 60% of them are diabetic, and
many of them see at least one specialty care provider (such as a cardiologist) for
treatment as well.
Choose TWO (2) EHR vendor systems to compare and contrast for
implementation at the geriatric clinic. Your discussion of the two systems should
specifically describe the following FOUR (4) aspects and discuss the importance
of each of these aspects in choosing an EHR system for the clinic.
