A very enjoyable barbecue was held in June with lots of lovely food, chat and sunshine.
Many thanks to all who helped in any way on the night.

A very successful weekend of concerts was held in early July. Nice to see the involvement
of a number of young people taking part. Many thanks to all who organised the weekend
and helped in any way.

The next concert will be held Friday September 10th with Moya O’Grady (cello) David
O’Doherty (violin) and Geraldine O’Doherty (harp). All concerts start at 8.00pm.
Tickets €15, concessions €10, from 01-2818146 or email derekneilson@eircom.net
Tuesday Club
We had a very pleasant afternoon in July at the Gate Lodge of Kilruddery House where we
were entertained to tea by Elizabeth Evans and her very enthusiastic grand-daughter,
Emily. Unfortunately the rain kept us indoors for most of the time but eased off enough in
the end for us to view the lovely garden and admire the wonderful vegetable patch.
As usual, we will not be meeting in August but will re-convene on 14th September at 2.30
in the McLean room at Newtown where we will look forward to seeing old friends and
welcome some new ones.
Coffee in the Cottage
If you are free any Tuesday morning between 10.30 and 12.30 please drop in for a cuppa
and some chat. €2
Leisurely Lunch
Lunch in the cottage will be on Thursday 19th August from 12.30pm. €5 a head. All
