Quick Guide
Portuguese Guitar

The Portuguese Guitar was chromatically sampled from D2 to A4 (blue keys). From C5 to B5
you have minor chords, and from C6 to B6 major chords (green keys). There are three FX
controls, which are Reverb, Stereo Spread and Delay (for a more experimental, yet beautiful
sound).

Tip:

Try to play with controlled amounts of sustain pedal for a richer sound. However, do not
overuse it, or it will sound unrealistic.

Nylon Guitar

With the Nylon Guitar patch you have the option of playing Chord Loops and Single Notes.

Chord Loops (green keys):

Minor Chords C0 to B0

Major Chords C1 to B1

You can play three different time signatures. Just select the respective icon:

4/4 time signature; Cuttime for a more upbeat feel; 3/4 time signature

The chord loops sync with your host tempo, using Kontakts feature TimeMachine Pro. For
better results experiment between 85 and 150 bpm.

Hold Function:

With this function, when you play a key, it will remain active until you play another key. To
stop playing the note you just pressed, simply play again the same key. This function will only
affect the key range C0 to B1.

Tip:

This is really helpful to play quick sketches of songs: with the left hand you play the nylon
guitar accompaniment, and with the right hand you play the Portuguese Guitar.

Single Notes (blue keys)

The Nylon Guitar was chromatically sampled from E2 to A4. The samples are activated by
default.
