Kids’ Klub is well underway! Our meetings will be:
• August 5th – Our trip to Elmer Pool is being
reschedule due to the fair. Stay tuned for more
details…
• August 12th – we will visit the Salem County
Sportmen’s Club to enjoy the lake, paddle boats and
lunch. Additional information will soon follow.
Summer Youth Group Events-Join us-Bring a Friend!
August 10th - Trip to Ocean City – Please contact Dana
Barrett or Pastor Julia if you want to attend.
Next Sunday, August 8th from 5-7 pm, is the Youth
Mission Trip Stockholders’ Dinner. Tickets are $25 if you
are not a stockholder and would like to attend. If you have
contributed to our cause you are entitled to a $5 discount on
tickets- just tell us you need a supporters ticket. Dana,
Kurt or Pastor Julia will be taking names and collecting funds
for the dinner. If you are a stockholder please RSVP to the
office by Wed, August 4th.
This year, our church will be represented at the Salem
County Fair. We will have a booth to hand out items to the
public and to help make our presence known in the
community. We need volunteers to spend some time at the
booth on Tuesday, August 3rd – Friday, August 6th. If you
are able to volunteer some time please contact Dana Barrett
(609-364-7480). Thanks in advance for your help!
The flowers this morning are presented in honor of Joe and
Peg Layman’s 64th Wedding Anniversary by their family.
Time of Prayer: After worship on communion Sunday,
August 8th , at the front of the church, the Elders would
like to offer prayer for anyone in need. Feel free after the
benediction to come forward and seek prayer and healing for
yourself or as an intercession for someone else. The Elders
and Pastor Julia will be available to pray for you and anoint
you with oil (if requested).

Annual Fall Retreat: Join us as we take some time away in
the midst of our busy schedules to renew our walk with the
Lord and our relationships with one another. Our Fall
Retreat this year is scheduled for October 22nd-24th at
the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn in Bird-in-Hand, PA. We
will be learning about the “plain” life and living with
straightforward faith in a complicated world. Please plan on
joining us for this exciting weekend. Children and teens are
also welcome. The final payment of $150 per adult (less
deposits paid) will be due by September 12th. See Bob

Calling all people…
Pastor Julia’s Spring/Summer Sermon Series fits a theme of God
calling us and calling others to serve Him with our whole heart. As we
explore these Scriptures we will be encouraged to understand the
Lord’s calling for our lives. He has great plans for us and for our
church! Take some time throughout the summer to listen to the Lord,
what is he saying to you? Let us continue in our journey of spiritual
growth and renewal as we seek to study his word and know him better!
Why not read these Scriptures and ponder them, pray over them and
meditate on them over the summer!

Church members are needed for Children’s Church. Please
sign up in the Narthex to take one Sunday of the summer.
You could even do it with a friend. All curriculum is
provided. See Joe Pizzuto-Pomaco for more information. If
we do not have a leader for each week we will not be able to
offer Children’s Church for that week.
The next Ladies Lunch will be held at 12 noon on Monday,
August 9th at the Country Rose in Dutch Neck Village.

August 28th-31st End of Summer RETREAT
Join us at Knoebels for a mini retreat of fun, fellowship and
reflection. This trip will be an excellent opportunity to
commune with the Lord in the beautiful countryside of
central Pennsylvania. There are also hotel accomodations
nearby. RSVP to Pastor Julia or Dana by this Sunday, if
you plan on attending or want more information. Watch
the bulletin for details in the coming weeks!
TNT-Tuesday Nights Together beginning September 21st
6:00 light meal

7:30-8:00 Contemporary Worship-
Praise, Prayer, Scripture and Testimonies
Adults-Alpha Program…come ask questions about your faith
and grow deeper in your walk with the Lord…this is a great
program for everyone whether you have been a Christian for
20 years, just a month or you are still seeking. It is also a
great event to invite a friend to attend.
Youth Group and Kids’ Klub also meets during this time!
Our Youth will be using some of the Youth Alpha program
and our Kids’ Klub will be based on a Christian scouting
program called Pioneers Club where they earn badges for
service. More information to follow.
Youth Mission Team Mtg at Pastor Julia’s house this
afternoon at 2:30pm. CE will also meet right after
church at Pastor Julia’s house. We will have a hotdog
lunch, please bring sides and swimsuits/towels if you want
to go swimming before or afterwards.
99 Days of Fitness Update
The surgeon general suggests each adult exercise 60 minutes a
day most days of the week for cardiovascular health, but if 30
minutes is what you can do, make that your commitment to your
heart. The hardest part about exercise is getting started so
make it easy on yourself and build it into your daily routine.
That may mean putting your work-out clothes on as soon as you
wake up and walking then or stopping at the gym on the way
home from work. After 8 weeks of the 99 day fitness program,
we are averaging about 109.2 miles per week amongst 30
participants who are recording their mileage. Exercise activity
recorded has been walking, running, bike riding, kayaking, gym
work outs, and zumba! Keep up the great work! The rewards of
exercise are to your heart, muscles, bones and mental health!
It is not too late to start logging your miles. Use the forms in
the narthex to do so or submit miles to www.daretownpres.org .
Be sure to check the Narthex for updates on places we travel
to.
Don’t forget, Anita Murphy will be available the last Sunday of
August to check Blood pressures for anyone wishing to have it

Gardening for God 2010 Season…We well into harvesting
and distributing some of our vegetables! There continues to
be a need to keep plenty of water on the garden. Your help
is needed for harvesting, weeding, watering, and
distribution. If you are willing to help or have questions
please see Melanie Richman or Dana Barrett. A Big Thank
YOU goes out to everyone who has helped thus far! Your
time makes a difference in the lives we have served.

Join us for a prayer time every Sunday morning before

church at 9:20am in the youth lounge. We pray the Lord will
open our hearts during worship and speak to us. We ask the
Lord to send his Holy Spirit upon us all. We also lift up
prayer requests that come to us that morning. Please feel
free to stop by and share a request or pray with us.

There are 8 assisted listening devices available for people to

better hear the worship service. They are located in a
basket in the narthex. Please return the devices to the
basket at the conclusion of worship. CD copies of our
worship service are available every Sunday in the narthex.

time (e-mail or put it in her basket). We are hoping for an
