Application For Parking Permit - Staff
1. Applications can be made from on campus; home or from your mobile phone.
2. Use Internet Explorer (Internet Explorer Version 9 upwards) / FireFox / Google Chrome
3. Proceed to the University of KwaZulu-Natal website. In the URL (Address) type www.ukzn.ac.za.
8. You will then be directed to the Main Page (My Profile) within the Traffic Portal.
9. You cannot change any information on this screen. If incorrect information showing, you need to
inform Human Resources to change.
10. Click on the New / Renew Permit icon to create a new permit or renew existing permit. You will
be directed to the Permit Request page.
11. Here you are able to edit or change your Home / Work / Mobile / Alternate Mobile or Email Address
only.
12. On this page (Permit Request) to add a vehicle/s you should select the Add + button to add
the vehicle if this is your first time application.
13. If you renewing your permit, should you wish to replace/remove a particular vehicle, select the X
next to the vehicle you wish to change and then select the Add + button to add the new vehicle
should you require. (A maximum of 2 vehicles only).
14. Once you have completed adding your vehicles, you will be required to select Location (your
working campus).
16. You will then be re-directed to a Disclaimer which you would need to read and then click the
Tick Box at the bottom of the page.
18. You may now proceed to your ID Card & Parking Permit Office on your respective campus to
collect.
