messy. He ignores his mother as she places the shoe box on
his desk.

MOTHER

things from the charity shop. Ill
see you after work.

Milo doesnt look up from his phone.

BOY
Alright, see you later.

MOTHER

BOY
Bye.

After a moment, the boy stands and crosses to the desk. He

opens the shoe box, pulling out a pair of shorts and a T-
shirt. He tosses them on the floor. Remaining in the box is a
small china doll holding a teddy. Milo examines it, shrugs,

After a second he looks up at the shelf again. The doll is

sitting there, just as before. The boys breathing rises. The
PLASTIC BOTTLE on his desk is flipped over. Then, the WOODEN
BOAT next to the doll twitches and moves along the shelf. The
boy stands in panic, pushes his headphones off and runs to
his door. It is locked. He struggles with the handle.

The whispering of the doll starts again.

Darkness.

We see the boy in the dark bedroom fall to the ground. The
dolls indistinct whispering grows louder.

Darkness.

sits up and checks his phone. He rushes to the shelf but the
doll is gone. He checks the top drawer of the desk. The doll

his mother.
