Phoenix Pride Award

4th Grade
The Phoenix Pride Award will be given to students that can accomplish 25 of the criteria by the end of the year.

Early Light Academy believes in developing a well-rounded individual and providing each with enrichment
opportunities. Phoenix Pride is designed to bring about leaders and the ultimate best in everyone.
Some things will be done in class, but most requirements will come from individual desire
and motivation to be the best you can be. Phoenix Pride is NOT mandatory.

Requirements that must have a Parent Signature and brief summary:

Requirements that must be shared in class:
___ Put together a collection display
___ Memorize a poem and share with the class
___ Read a book and give a 2 minute book share
___ Participate in Inspirations Program
___ Memorize the school and class mission
___ 2 science experiments

Requirements that can be done in class and at home:

___ Keyboarding practice for 15 hours during the year
___ Read 20 minutes a day, 5 times a week throught the year
___ Fit Phoenix or 100 hours of physical activity
___ Support 5 school athletic events
___ Book Bingo (One per Term)
___ 200 hours of ALEKS
___ On time for school (3 tardies takes you off this qualification)
___ Only 3 absences the entire school year
___ Pariticipate in all Student/Parent Conferences
___ Participate and attend Culture Night
___ Participate and attend History Fair

Requirements that can be completed at school:

Must show teacher to complete.

___ Memorize 5 recorder songs

___ Read and write in cursive
___ Write a letter using proper format
___ Know personal address and phone number
___ Keep track of sites, login and passwords sheet
___ No missing work
___ Perfect 10
___ No Office referral for behavior
___ Earn 24 points or greater on a Utah Compose
___ Participate in a school sponsored contest
___ Participate in Tanner Dance
___ Maintain Leadership Portfolio
___ 80% or above on Math Benchmark
___ 80% or above on Science Benchmark
___ Complete Water Booklet
___ Complete Mining Booklet
___ Complete all Utah Compose essays
___ 100% on 20 Spelling Tests
___ Pass off multiplication facts through 12
