I am currently a 9th grade student at Pacifica High School in Garden Grove, CA. I am in the
AVID program at our school. AVID is a course that is preparing me for the rigors of college and
helping me identify possible colleges I would be interested in attending. After researching
colleges with writing programs, I am considering attending your university when I graduate from
high school.

I would like to pursue a career in creative writing and would like any information you have on
majors related to that career. I would also like to receive financial aid information, information
on admission requirements, a poster or pennant, and any other information that might help me
make a decision to attend your university and to help promote University of Texas at Austin on
our high school campus.
