In fall 2017 Benjamin Shapiro, conservative political commentator, will speak at the
University of Oregon. Shapiro will discuss numerous issues along with engaging in dialogue

California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Shapiro graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a
degree in political science in 2004 then graduated three years later from Harvard Law School
with cum laude. Following his graduation he practiced law with Goodwin Procter LLP, a global
law firm.
Shapiro founded The Daily Wire in September 2015 where he is currently editor-in-chief
and hosts his own political podcast, The Ben Shapiro Show. Shapiro was also formerly editor-at-
large at Breitbart however he resigned in March 2016 following the websites lack of support
over assault allegations made by Michelle Fields against former Trump campaign manager,
Corey Lewandownski.
Along with his credentials as a political commentator Shapiro is also an author of several
books including a New York Times bestseller entitled, Bullies: How the Lefts Culture of Fear
and Intimidation Silences Americans. Along with being an accomplished author and reporter he
is also a lawyer with his own independent legal consultancy form, Benjamin Shapiro Legal
Consulting.
