Drug Used

Prevacid
Dosage: 15mg 1 tab OD
Pre & Post-Prandial Advice: Take before meals. Do not chew/crush
Contraindications: Hypersensitivity. Patients receiving atazanavir sulfate. Lactation.
Special Precautions: Hepatic disorders. Closely observe course of disease & use min therapeutic
necessity according to disease condition. Discontinue use in cases of anaphylactic or
hematologic reactions; severe hepatic dysfunction; toxic epidermal necrolysis, Steven-Johnson
syndrome; pseudomembranous colitis; fever, cough, dyspnea, crepitation; interstitial nephritis.
May mask symptoms of malignant tumor eg gastric/ esophageal cancer or other GI disorders.
Adverse Reaction: Pancytopenia, agranulocytosis, granulocytopenia, sever hepatic dysfunction
w/ jaundice, toxic epidermal necrolysis, thrombocytopenia, dizziness, insomnia, headache,
tremor.

Celecoxib
I: Treatment of RA, OA & ankylosing spondylitis. Management of acute pain & dysmenorrhea.
D: 200mg Q12
A: Dose for OA/RA may be given with or without meals, but dose for adenomatous colorectal
polyps must be given with meals.
CI: Hypersensitivity to celecoxib, aspirin or other NSAIDs. Patient who have demonstrated
allergic type reactions to sulfonamides; are those w/ history of asthma, urticarial or allergic
type of reactions after taking aspirin or other NSAIDs. Treatment of perioperative pain in the
setting of CABG surgery. History of stoke (CVA), heart attack (MI), uncontrolled HTN, CHF (NYHA
II-IV)
SP: Ischemic heart disease; history/active GI disease eg ulceration; bleeding or inflammatory
conditions; impaired renal & liver (Child-Pugh Class B) function; dehydration; at risk for heart
disease; compromised cardiac function; preexisting edema/conditions predisposing to, or
worsened by fluid retention; HTN; hyperlipidemia, diabetes, smoking, peripheral arterial
disease; voldepletion. Monitor anticoagulant activity after initiating treatment Pregnancy &
lactation. Children. Elderly.
AR: Anaphylaxis, insomnia, dizziness, coughing, abdominal or chest pain, diarrhea,
hallucinations, ageusia, anosmia, aseptic meningitis, vasculitis, GI hemorrhage, hepatitis, liver &
acute renal failure, interstitial nephritis, pulmonary embolism.

Inderal
D: 10mg TiD
CI: History of bronchial asthma or bronchospasm, bradycardia, cardiogenic shock, hypotension,
metabolic acidosis, after prolonged fasting, severe peripheral arterial circulatory disturbances,
2nd or 3rd-degree heart block, sick sinus syndrome, untreated pheochromocytoma, uncontrolled
heart failure. Patients prone to hypoglycemia.
SP: Poor cardiac reserve, 1st degree heart block, history of anaphylactic reaction to allergens,
decompensated cirrhosis, portal HTN. May aggravate less severe peripheral arterial circulatory
disturbances; block/modify signs & symptoms of hypoglycemia.
AR: Fatigue &/or lassitude; bradycardia, cold extremities, Raynauds phenomenon, sleep
disturbances, nightmare

Famotidine
D: 20mg Q12
I: Management of benign gastric & duodenal ulcer, GERD & Zollinger-Ellison syndrome; short-
term symptomatic relief of heartburn or non-ulcer dyspepsia
SP: Increase resistance to H2-antagonist in patients with liver cirrhosis
AR: Headache, dizziness, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, rash
IV fluid included
