Toddler Strategy Sheet

1. Name: Chloe Price


Goal: Chloe will share by offering a toy to a peer 2-3 times each lab.
Teachers will use sharing words to communicate wants.
Teachers will model how to share toys with other toddlers.
Teachers will model how to accept toys from other peers.

2. Name: Caleb Ostraf


Goal: Caleb will speak at least one new word each lab (i.e. labeling unfamiliar objects, using descriptive words, etc).
Teachers will repeat new descriptive words.
Teachers will repeat new object words.
Teachers will use new words.

3. Name: Olivia Lake


Goal: Olivia will independently verbalize one new word each week in lab.
Teachers will model labeling different items around the classroom with Olivia.
Teachers will ask Olivia what she would like to do in the classroom, giving her time to say the word out loud. If she
does not say it out loud they could prompt her again verbally then point to a place and ask individually for each
area.
Teachers will emphasize the beginning consonant letters to a word to help Olivia begin to say the word.

4. Name: Dylan Byran


Goal: Dylan, with help, will say 3-4 word phrases 2 times during lab.
Teachers will model a 3-4 word phrase as they talk to Dylan about what he is doing.
Teachers will provide opportunities to talk about what is happening in their environment by providing items of
interest.
Teachers will use self-talk and narration when playing with Dylan.

5. Name: Luke Scott


Goal: Luke will interact with other children his age at least once every class by playing in the same area as another child or
sharing a toy with another child.
Teachers will invite other children to play with Luke.
Teachers will invite Luke to play with other children.
Teachers will model how to take turns and share with other children.

6. Name: Sheridan Walker


Goal: Sheridan will count to ten with help when asked to at least once per lab.
Teachers will model how to count.
Teachers will ask how many objects she has.
Teachers will set up an environment that encourages counting.

7. Name: Samantha Hill


Goal: She will be able to say one to two words in English every day in toddler lab.
Teachers will expand what Samantha says by adding one to two words as they repeat what she says.
Teachers will use Descriptive Talk as Samantha plays to model words for her and encourage her to use her words
to describe what she is doing.
Teachers will use Self-Talk to model English phrases as they play with Samantha.

8. Name: Jacob Curtis


Goal: Jacob will have at least 3 positive interactions with peers each day (i.e. give hugs, hand a toy over to another child,
give a high-five).
Teachers will set up the environment for sharing to take place.
Teachers will model positive interactions with toddlers and peers.
Teachers will use descriptive language as they talk about the positive interactions he has.
9. Name: Ben Lindow
Goal: Ben will verbalize when he wants to share something that another child has by using 2-3 word phrases.
The teachers will encourage Ben to share his toys with the other children that are around.
The teachers will model 2-3-word sharing phrases for Ben to use when he wants to share.
The teachers will use descriptive talk while Ben is playing and sharing.

10. Name: Rebecca Moody


Goal: Rebecca will correctly label one body part per lab.
Teachers will model word of body part and point to it on her body
Teachers will use body parts in a song or game (Head shoulders knees and toes)
Teachers will self-talk about what they are doing with a body part (Im catching with my hands!)

11. Name: Savannah Clark


Goal: Savannah will use a 3-4 word phrase every lab.
Teachers will use self- talk as they play with Savannah in the toddler lab.
Teachers will set up an environment in which Savannah will want to ask questions about.
Teachers will model speak that Savannah can mimic.

12. Name: Bridget Woods


Goal: Bridget will mimic a 2-3 word phrase every lab.
Teachers will set up an environment in which Bridget will want to ask questions about.
Teachers will use self- talk as they play with Bridget in the toddler lab.
Teachers will model speak that Bridget can mimic.
