Today reminded me why I love my job. This morning I was asked to pick up an additional visit. My
first thought was to schedule her for my second visit of the day, but then for some reason I told the
scheduler, No, make her my first visit.

When I arrived, her blood pressure was in the low 90s. She was asymptomatic and was about to
take her blood pressure medications, which would have dropped her blood pressure even lower.

I contacted her doctors office to make them aware of the situation. She was instructed to not take
any of her blood pressure medications until she could be seen.

I truly believe if I had not changed my mind on the order of my visits, she would have taken the
medications and ended up in the hospital. By saying yes to another visit and adjusting my
schedule, a great save was made today. Which is why I love my job.
