Dear Mr. Rawlins:

In the interest of eliminating any public or private confusion on the matter, we request
you issue a memorandum on the proper use of campaign funds during the time members
of the General Assembly receive per diem reimbursement.

We additionally request the Registry make this area of the law a point of special emphasis
during the General Assemblys annual ethics training.

It is our hope that this will serve to remove any misunderstanding or misinterpretation on
this matter and help our membership comply with the law in good faith.

We appreciate your work on behalf of the public interest and would ask this clarification
be issued as soon as possible to help ensure proper compliance with the laws of our state.
