Sensory Table: Activity Description: The sensory table will be Construction vehicles (RR2,

*Blocks: Ramps Activity Description: There will be ramps that the Ramps (RR1, Science, 84)
and Towers (5) children can build bases for and they can
practice building towers with bases using the
blocks in the classroom.

Child Objective: The children will develop


problem solving as they work on building a big
enough base to support the structure or ramp
they are building.

Intentional Teaching: The teachers will remind the


children that if they build their base, the structure
will be more secure and stay up better. Teachers
can also ask the children what kinds of structures
they are building.
*Dramatic Play: Activity Description: This center will be set up like Vests and cones (RR2,

create situations and stories as they play
alongside or with other children.

Intentional Teaching: The teachers will engage


the children in conversation and scenarios where
they can talk about what they are building and
what different projects construction workers do.
Teachers can encourage the children to work
with each other and share the materials at this
center. The teachers can also talk about the
safety equipment that construction workers use.
