COLUMBA CATHOLIC CHURCH SAN DIEGO

August 1, 2010—
Eighteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time Men of St. Columba,

consultation with the Pastoral Council and religious 14th in the parish hall, following the 8:15 a.m. Mass.
organizations, we came up with suggestions to bring
some new and creative ways to express our fellowship
as one family in the parish. We will try to make these
things part of parish annual activities.
MEN’S BREAKFAST – to be held on August 14, 2010,
Saturday, after the 8:15 morning Mass. This will be a
venue for the men of the parish to have a quality time
with fellow men outside of work or sport activities. This
will be sponsored by the parish and initiated by the
Men’s Faith Group.
PARISH YOUTH DAY – Our young people should be
more involved in the church. They should feel that they
are also responsible people who can do serious things
for the Lord, that despite their young age, they can
express their faith in their own unique but valuable
ways. Initial efforts are being done by the Parish Youth
Committee.
PARISH FAMILY DAY – Catholicism is not all about
church and Sunday worship. We should experience our
unity and togetherness even in light moments with fun
and excitement. We will have an opportunity in the
coming months to come together in a day of fun, food,
games and other exciting activities for all ages.
Everyone in the parish is welcome to join. Details will Mass Intentions for the Week
