Your team has been chosen by the Congressional Oversight Committee to investigate how John
Quincy Adams, with only 84 electoral votes, was named President of the United States.
Attached, you will find the evidence that was collected regarding this election. The Committee
requires your team to present your claim in a clear and logical way. Your findings should be
presented in a clear and organized report. As your report will surely be disputed by Adams and
his administration, remember to include evidence which supports the claim being made by your
