Sieve analysis is a mechanical analysis technique that uses a set of sieves with progressively smaller openings to determine the particle size distribution of fine and coarse aggregates. The experiment involves shaking aggregate samples through the sieves, and results are reported as the percentage passing or retained on each sieve based on the original sample weight. Some loss of fine material occurs during the sieve analysis due to environmental effects like wind blowing away dust particles, leading to discrepancies between the total original sample weight and total retained weight.

mechanical analysis which determine the size range of particles present in fine aggregates and coarse aggregates .Sieve analysis consist of shaking the fine aggregates and course aggregates sample passing through the set of sieve that have progressively small opening .The result of this experiment is determined by the percentage of cumulative passing of fine aggregates and course aggregates . First of all , one of the data that we had obtained from the result is the total amount retained of fine aggregates and course aggregates after the experiment are not the same as the total amount that we weighted before the process of sieve analysis begin . This is because of environment effect and resulting the total amount retained decrease. The small particle of fine aggregates and course aggregates is missing during the sieves were being vibrating . Last but not least, the wind blow out the dust of the fine and course aggregates during the experiment was goingv on . Secondly, this is probably because the fine and course aggregates were trapped in the small opening sieves. Sometimes, it cant be removed from the sieves when we were doing the weighting for contain in every each sieves at the end of the experiment.
